Where it all began...

I have always been a creative person...I remember my great-aunt teaching me to knit when I was about 6, although I didn't really figure it out until I was done high school. My grandma tried to teach me embroidery and cross stitch, but I think I was too young to really understand. Creativity in the midst of Chaos...

A lot of people ask me when I have time to be creative...I'm a stay-at-home, homeschool mom of 3 with #4 on the way, so days can be pretty busy.But honestly, being creative is such an important part of me that if I didn't do it, I wouldn't be looking after myself. Being creative works a different part of my brain - it grounds me. And if I were to use current terminology, it would be part of my 'self-care'.So, I choose to do it, which usually means that I'm choosing to not do something else ...
